Privacy

This is the portfolio site for the artist Alice Cook. It is a set of static files. There are no accounts, no logins, no forms, no advertising, no analytics and no server-side code of any kind. It collects no personal data whatsoever.

What is stored on your device

One thing: if you switch between light and dark, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key alice-theme. It never leaves your device and is never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. See Cookies.

What is requested from elsewhere

The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives that request as it would for any site using their fonts. Google states that it does not use these requests to build profiles or serve advertising; Google's privacy policy applies. Nothing identifying you is sent by this site, and this site receives nothing back.

Every artwork shown is served from this site itself. No image, script or player is embedded from any other service.

What this site does not do

• No analytics, tracking pixels or advertising.
• No profiling and no automated decision-making.
• No mailing list. There is no form to join one with.
• No selling or sharing of data. There is nothing to sell.

Links out

The Instagram links and the email link are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from Instagram until you follow one, and their own terms apply once you do.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted. In this case there is nothing to hand over and nothing to delete, because nothing is collected. If you want to raise something anyway, message @alice.ck.art on Instagram or email cookie090203@yahoo.co.uk.

If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
